TAV Airport Hotel Izmir

We were surprised that this hotel is actually in the building of the airport. Therefore we didn't have to move our rented car from the airport's rental car parking to the hotel's parking. Since we arrived at night it was easier not to look for the way to the hotel's car park. If you arrive at night like we did, you could start your rented car's booking the next day to save money. The walk to the hotel within the building (I think it was located on the 3rd floor) took about 10 minutes or less, from the arrival hall / rental cars hall. Please note once you leave the airport building it is not so easy to get back. It took us some time to find the entrance to the hotel from the outside. This is the only place we were allowed to enter the building again. We were happy to be able to use the hotel's WiFi as we haven't purchased a SIM card and mobile data on our arrival at the airport. In hindsight, we regret this decision because one of our mobile phones was left unnoticed on mobile internet and this occurred in extra costs. The fees at the airport seem to be high because one pays not only for the data but also for the SIM card. As for the hotel room, it was surprisingly quiet. We thought we would hear the planes taking off and landing but we didn't. We stayed one night and the facilities were very comprehensive. We have found the twin beds very comfortable. The design of the room and bathroom was modern and stylish. We did not add breakfast to our booking so I can't give feedback about that. I want to mention that the rental car company (GreenMotion) was happy with our UK Driving Licence and did not require an Internation Driving Licence, contrary to the gov.uk website's information. There was one unpleasant surprise though at our first attempt to fly to Turkey. When we dropped off our suitcases at the airport in the UK, I was denied boarding because my passport was only valid for 3 months from the date of arrival.

No one really stays at an airport hotel for any other reason than to catch a plane. But if you need to be at Izmir airport, this hotel is super comfortable, good value for money and conveniently situated between the international and domestic terminals. The rooms are very spacious with excellent facilities and good WiFi. A surprisingly pleasant stay.

One of the standout features of this hotel is the breakfast. The food was fresh, delicious, and perfectly cooked. The hotel's location is also a major plus. It's located just inside the airport, making it the perfect choice for those who have an early morning flight to catch. Despite being inside the airport, the hotel is surprisingly quiet, and we had no issues with noise during our stay.

It was very perfect place to stay while waiting for family connection flight to Skopje. Our room was clean, there were a free coffee and tea drinks and some appetizers. We were a little bit hungry and i need to say that brand-restaurant at the hotel was closed (after 11 p.m.), but that's not bad because on 300 meters far away from the hotel, you can find nice Turkish restaurants and bars. If you want to take extra fresh or alcohol drinks you will be able to use your room-bar. I am sure that in my next trip via Izmir i will choose this place to take nice break during the connection flights.

Good aircoinditioning. Modern rooms with enough space. Bathroom was nice. Big bed. Location is ideal to catch your flight. Breakfast was good.
